Matt Wong is a guitarist working in New York City. As a performer, he stays versatile by working in a wide range of styles of music including R&B, jazz, pop, and rock, and by playing instruments such as mandolin, banjo, bouzouki, and octave mandolin, in addition to guitar.
Matt works as both a session musician, and live performer, and has recorded for songwriters, producers, and composers in six countries to date from his home studio in New Jersey, and has performed across the US and Canada on tour, from the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City to Catalina Jazz Club in Los Angeles. As an educator, Matt has taught masterclasses/clinics for several high schools, has contributed articles to Guitar World Magazine's lesson section, and will begin teaching at New York University in the fall. Matt is a 2018 graduate of Berklee College of Music.
